Cuối tháng 1 vừa qua, VTV có phát bản tin về việc phát hiện ra ngọn thác kỳ vĩ Cha Port ở xã Phước Bình (huyện Bác Ái) nè.
Được thiên nhiên ưu đãi, Ninh Thuận là một trong số ít tỉnh của cả nước sở hữu hai Vườn Quốc gia (Phước Bình và Núi Chúa), cũng là 2 Vườn quốc gia duy nhất của Nam Trung Bộ (trong số 32 VQG trên cả nước)
Thác Cha Port chỉ là một trong những ngọn thác thuộc hệ thống rừng phòng hộ đầu nguồn giáp ranh giữa hai tỉnh Ninh Thuận và Khánh Hòa. Ở đây có hệ thống hồ treo trên núi MaRai với nguồn nước dồi dào đã sinh ra những ngọn thác kỳ vĩ.
Riêng ở huyện Bác Ái, đến nay, người dân đã phát hiện gần 10 ngọn thác lớn nhỏ, trong đó, hệ thống thác đẹp nhất là Cha Pơr ở xã Phước Tân và Cha Port ở xã Phước Bình.
Theo chân người dân bản địa, rời thác Cha Port, men theo con đường mòn xuyên qua rừng lồ ô mất khoảng 15 phút, phóng viên đã tiếp cận được tảng đá có dấu tích của chân các loài thú rừng khắc sâu để lại trên một tảng đá lớn.
Người dân địa phương cho rằng đây là dấu chân của Trâu rừng, Bò tót, Hoẵng, Đỏ, Nai…. điều này cho thấy rừng ở đây không chỉ có các ngọn thác kỳ vĩ mà còn chứa những điều bí ẩn của thiên nhiên đến nay vẫn chưa được khám phá.
